God created mankind in His image, Humanity desires to create a god in their own. Humanity desires to be god. God desires humanity to be like Jesus. With such diverging purposes, is there a path to the meeting of the mind?  Pastor Keith uses the “ Who, What, When,Where, Why, and How” of literary interpretation and applies it against this well known biblical text to help us answer the question “What God Wants The World To Know About Himself."

Pastor Mike Olmstead

A very special message from guest speaker Pastor Mike Olmstead.

Pastor Olmstead asks two impactful questions:

  • How well do we work together?
  • Do you have joy?

Would you believe that these two characteristics are actually signs of "God's Good Work In Us"... Of course there is much more to glean from this study of Phil 1: 1-11.

2Peter 1:2 In the beginning of his walk, Peter did not have peace of mind. As a matter of fact, he regularly seemed to be on the wrong side. Time and time again, Jesus patiently had to instruct and correct him. “If I do not wash you (Peter), you have no share with me.” “Peter put your sword into its sheath.” “Peter cast the net on the right side of the boat.” “Peter do you love me?” You will deny me three times! These were likely hard sayings for Peter to hear. But our gracious Lord on one occasion spoke to Peter and made an enduring promise. “What I am doing, you (Peter) do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.” (John 13:7) We can be a lot like Peter. We can bring false thinking with us when we come to Christ. So, what is Peters instruction for finding lasting peace? Pastor Keith summarizes it well as he instructs us to “ransack the bible” and “mine the treasures of The Word”. There is more , much more!
