Pre-Marital class—This class is taught by various couples of FBC who give insight into common concerns in marriage. Any couple considering marriage is invited to attend. This class meets in Mike Olmstead’s office.

Spiritual Gifts—Did you know that every believer is given spiritual gifts? What are these gifts? How do we find out what our gifts are? Where might they be used for the benefit of the body of Christ here at FBC and in our community? What attitudes can hinder our exercise of the gifts God has given us?  What attitudes and actions will help us use these gifts?  We will be seeking answers to these questions and more as we look at this exciting topic for several weeks this summer. This class will meet in the Chapel and is taught by Pastor Mike Olmstead.  Class begins June 15th.

Prayer Time – led by Ted & Stephanie Smith this group will meet in the Hospitality Room  to pray for church, government and personal needs.   This group begins June 15th.

Ephesians—this book in the New Testament covers both God’s mercy and grace towards us in Christ and notes several of the blessings God has granted believers in Christ Jesus. It also describes how we are to respond and behave in response to what God has done for us—in our marriage, as parents, as employees, employers, and as citizens in the public square.  This is a great book that exudes the mercy and grace of God towards us in Jesus and challenges us to let it transform our everyday lives. This class is taught by Chris Misener and meets in Room 251.

GriefShare-It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This class is for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and how to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time. Each session includes a video seminar and group discussion.  This class is led by Edie and George Lydick and meets in the Chapel.

When God’s People Pray – Round II - Discover the keys to powerful prayer in this six week study by Jim Cymbala, pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle and author of Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire.  Each Sunday you will discover the Biblical truths surrounding prayer via DVD teachings, discussion questions, Bible discovery, and a personal prayer story from a member of the Brooklyn Tabernacle.  The study also offers additional personal reflection questions, Bible study, and a personal prayer journal to help you begin applying the lesson throughout the week.  The class begins June 15 at 10:30 (in the Parlor) and will be facilitated by Christopher and Betty Waaler.  Participant guides will be available on the 15th for $8.00.
