Children's Ministry

I'm new at First Baptist Church.

Children's Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry is committed to partnering with you, the parents, in raising up your children in Christ. We desire to see children reached with the Gospel.

Sunday Mornings

We offer Sunday School and Nursery during services in a loving and safe environment.  In our Sunday School classes we have teachers who are gifted at what they do. They will teach your child an age appropriate lesson and a project or game that goes with the lesson.

Our Check-In System

At FBC, your children’s safety is a high priority of ours. We seek to provide a safe place for your children. It’s because of this commitment to your children’s safety that we have the check-in system we do. The system we use is an electronic-check in called KidCheck. KidCheck is an excellent system with many features that help us keep your children safe.

The first time you attend our church we’ll have you set up a KidCheck account. Since KidCheck is web based, you’ll be able to update your account anytime online. Each time you check your child in, KidCheck will print a name tag for your child and a guardian receipt for you. Both the name tag and the guardian receipt have identical barcodes. This code changes every week. You’ll use the guardian receipt to pick up your child. Your child’s teacher will match up the barcode on your guardian receipt with the one on your child’s name tag. We do this to make sure your child is sent home with the right person..

Our Staff

Our staff has been background checked and has gone through training to ensure that all Children’s Ministry workers are up to date with safety procedures. Our teachers are trained and dedicated to working with your children. This past year, nine of our volunteers attend a Children’s Ministry conference put on by CEF. The conference gave us new ideas for effectively working with your children. Our staff desires to see your children grow and thrive.

Our Children’s Ministry is led by Children’s Director Linda Mirone
